i know a guy that went there and match raced with scotty cannon in pro-mods. he told me there are heat strips under the first half of the track. thats why they both had trouble from the half track to finish line area.
how is everything on the Gill team? talk to you later panman

I believe I have been to a dragstrip here in Alaska a few times. Yes, it does have heating coils in the concrete for the 1st 330 feet, & is heated by a boiler system w/ pump for circulation. Probably one of the best tracks in the country, if not the world for the scenery. Racing begins here on Mothers day & runs thru Labor day (sometimes later, depending on weather). In the last 5 years, they have brought up Ron Fassel, Ricky Ruiz, both in fuel altereds, Scotty Cannon w/ his Pro Mod Studebaker, Skinny Kid Keith w/ his Olds Pro Mod & Steve Petty w/ 3 10.5 turbo Mustangs (1 belongs to Tom Ranes from here), 2 Alcohol Funny Cars from Canada that run on a 7.50 index, & a couple of jet cars. Also from Fairbanks, they bring down Jamie Bodenstat w/ his families Fuel Altered, The Alaskan Grizzly, & they have some pretty fast local people w/ Alcohol Dragsters & Funny cars, & Pro Mods.

Thanks guys!! I have been working with a top sportsman type pick up alittle
here and there, its got a blown alky motor in it and we have run in the fastest
street car deal in olrando, bradenton etc. it'll run probably some where
in the 6.50 range when all is said and done. she's gone 6.78@209. lots of new stuff on it still tying to get it all figured out. Peter (owner) got an offer from i believe Skinny Kid or someone involved with that team to go to Alaska
and race expenses paid bla bla, was just curious if it was worth the trip.
i dont know all the specifics but ya dont know if ya dont ask.
Bruce how have you been? heard ya traded our (your) avenger in for a
well known Monte?? We will be out this year i guess retirement doesnt last long in this sport. limited schedule like always, just going to go out and try to have some fun!!
see ya at the grove..Scott and the Gill camp...
