We're having a problem with the 8973 picking up noise from the ignition. I need to shield all the wires, and was going to use spark plug wire shielding. I still have a bunch of the stuff that used to go over the old mallory plug wires. Will this work? Is there something better? thanks

Shielding from RF interferance is always hard, shields needs to be made of metal (aluminum) compleatly encasing the device to be shielded and then mounted on the chassis. Cables use a mesh braid (coax cable) same as you data logger pickup cables, one end of the braid must also be earthed, it is always easier to eliminate it from the source the trying to stop it from getting in to the device. Make any sense???
