Shad Wheeler Passes

Just wanted to take a moment to let everyone on this site know that Shad Wheeler passed away Friday, December 3, 2004. Shad drove the Lil' Thumper TA/FC Corvette in the midwest for quite a few years and I was lucky enough to be able to crew for him for a while.

Sorry, to hear about Shad. I bought my first funny car body from him in 1988. I meet his family and had dinner with them. Really nice people.
Pass on my regrads, from the guy who bought his Dark House Mustang body.

Met Shad once,and i think it was 89 at the IHRA race in St.Louis i think,I was home on leave from the military,but the car was always one of my favorites from the era,(always been a corvette guy),didn't realy know what to say on this post,after reading it yesterday as i realy didnt know him,Godspeed Shad,and condolences from our family to yours.

 

I was saddened to hear of Shad's passing. I used to race Shad quite a bit back in the UDRA days. He was a good racer and a good guy. My condolences to the family.
