I have a Kobelco high helix blower with the standard opening at the front(pie shaped). Ive read through the other articles and still can't figure it out. Would it be worth it for me to set the blower back? If so, how far should i go?
    Thanks

If you imagine your motor with a 4 barrel carb intake and the outlet of the blower where the carb goes, that would be close to the ideal. On a practical bases it depends on what parts are available for your motor and how much you want to spend.

    Blower Setback

I used a Alan Johnson fuel setback manifold on my hemi with AJ fuel heads running alcohol. My port nozzles are now within 5 numbers of each other and has less than 100 degree difference between cylinders, according to my data logger. I have not made very many runs with this yet to do any additional tuning but it seemed to make a big difference on evening out the cylinders. I run an 11.5" snout with the snout support rods to the motor plate.

A setback manifold for your application may not be available and a custom manifold may or not be worth it for your needs. Just my 2 cents.

I ran roots blown alcohol engines both Chevy and hemi in both tractor pulling and drag racing from 1999-2006 for pulling and 2007-to now in drag racing, when I set my blower back in 2006 on my sassy veney fuel headed hemi it ran much better and made a load more power it also made it much easier to even up the cylinders to be happy with each other, these opinions are using standard manifolds with our own made set back plates,my opinion is its well worth the time, effort and money it takes to set the blower back,I'm setting the blower back as much as the rules allow on our nostalgic fuel funny car
