first off I want to thank Will for the time and effort for this site and giving people a place to buy and sell things.... BUT I would like to know why some people want to waist other people's time by sending lots of messages about being a serious buyer and asking for tons of pics only to try and ask for the parts and 30% off or even lower? that's an insult! I recently had listed a complete motor with a spare set of heads and tons and tons of spare parts all in good shape! I stated it wasn't new stuff but not junk! I have never sold junk or screwed anyone over and never will! and the people that have bought things from me will testify to this fact! SO.. I will freshen and put the motor right back in the car and continue to haul a$$ with it! sorry for the rant on your site Will.... I'll give you a pint of home made apple or cherry pie moonshine for taking space with this rant!

They are called " Tire Kickers " and there will always be the cheap basterds who will try and kick you in the Jimmy`s to get the lowest price possible,..Its the american way,..LMFAO.
On the flip side,.there are those who think their parts are made of Gold, and still own them. I have always found the decent parts east of the Rockies to be .40 to .60 cents on the dollar, and on the west coast the used parts are .85 to $1.25 on the dollar,..still get a chuckle on them type of brains.

I will tell a good one,...At the big Portland swap meet there is always someone that will come by asking if we have any parts for a buck or five bucks, so We bring a few ford tail lights and such with us, so when they ask for that one dollar or five dollar parts we grab a taillight, toss it on the ground and stomp on it with a heavy foot, pick up a broken piece of it, hand it to the buyer, and say,..... $5.00 bucks...always a crowd pleaser lots of laughter.

    Bruce,
My take on this is that, with the current and previous state of the economy, the mentality of everyone is that everything is "on sale". Doesn't matter if you are selling a hamburger or a house or anything in between, people think that if you are asking $100.00 for something you will take $50.00 because you need the money. The truth is yes, we all need the money which is one reason we may be selling items but if your choices are to give it away or sit on it, then today you are better off sitting on it. If it is junk stuff then it can move pretty fast for cheap. If it is good stuff people still want it for cheap. Not worth selling if you just give it away.
