Bellemeur Looks to Steal a Win in Sin City

Las Vegas, NV- The Ron Meer Motorsports (RMM) Top Alcohol Funny Car team with driver Sean Bellemeur will look to continue their final round streak this weekend at the Summitracing.com Nationals at the Strip in Las Vegas. The team has scored a win and two runner-up finishes in the first three races of the season placing them third in the Lucas Oil National points.

The RMM team is excited to get back on track after a few weeks off following their first win of the season in Tucson, AZ last month. “The team is fired up and ready to go racing again” said Bellemeur, a 25 year old resident of Fullerton, CA. “A lot has gone on in the drag racing world over the past few weeks and I know that it’s going to be a breath of fresh air for all of us to get back to the track.” The death of funny car racer Eric Medlen has been felt all across the motorsports family and the RMM team is looking forward to going back out and doing what they love to do with Eric in their hearts. “Eric touched a lot of people in this wonderful sport of ours” said Sean. “He was a huge role model for me and I will never forget this presence he has left.”

Coming off three strong showings, the team is anxious to see the results of their hard work between races. Crew Chief Bob Devour and Team Owner Ron Meer have guided the team to make some changes to the car that should improve its performance. “We have been working really hard to find any advantage possible” said Meer. “We feel very strongly about the things we’ve found and it should be interesting to see the improvements of the car this weekend. I think the 5.62 we saw at Pomona was just a precursor to what this thing can really run.”

For the event this weekend the RMM is proud to announce the addition of Chicago Joe’s Italian Restaurant to the team. Chicago Joe’s is located in Downtown Las Vegas. For more information please visit www.chicagojoesrestaurant.com or call 702.382.JOES (5637). Race fans are invited to check out the RMM team, driver, and Chicago Joe’s staff this weekend at the track.

The Summitracing.com Nationals will be televised exclusively by ESPN 2 on April 22 at 10am Eastern time.
