    Team Meer Focused on Consistency

ANAHEIM, CA — Lots of teams would be envious of the good fortune that’s descended upon the Meer Homes Top Alcohol Funny Car. However, last week’s quarter-final performance has them concerned. Up until then, driver Sean Bellemeur has raced to every final round he’s qualified for and his record shows three wins and three runner-up finishes. Having missed last week’s final, car owner, Ron Meer and the entire team is poised for a return to form at this weekend’s Fram Autolite Nationals at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California.

Crew chief, Bob DeVour said, “These cars have so much power, balancing the engine and the clutch is critical. I got behind last week and it bit us. Ron and I are confident we can get our consistency back.” The aforementioned string of performances has attracted national media exposure, also, as the Meer Homes car graces the cover and six pages inside the latest DRAG RACER Magazine, which is currently on sale. Ron Meer stated, “They’ve been collecting material on us for months now, and I was pleased to finally see it in print. It’s good for our associate sponsors and we’re proud to have our efforts recognized.”

When it comes to the heat of battle, Bellemeur is always ready to race and he looks forward to each event. Sean has proven his composure against multi-time champions and upstarts alike. Fortunately for DeVour, Bellemeur keeps busy between rounds helping service the car. That allows the rest of the chores to be spread between Scott DeFrancisco, Ken Smith and Dustin Yoho, while Bob and Ron work on the clutch and fuel systems, respectively.

Ron Meer Motorsports sends special thanks to Randy Anderson, Chase Knight at Crane Cams, Gary and David Sumek of Lenco, Steve and John at Medlen Motorsports, all their friends at GRP, and Mike Gruber from Valvoline.
