Bellemeur Anxious to Run Texas Motorplex

ANAHEIM, CA — Coming off another Pacific Division 7 victory, Sean Bellemeur looks to add yet more round wins to his season total as the Texas Motorplex plays host to this weekend’s O’Reilly Fall Nationals. The Meer Homes Top Alcohol Funny Car has served Sean well this year, despite being his first season in the seat. Bellemeur mentioned, “We got off to a good start this year and all of us just seemed to click. We were fortunate that the round wins came early and we just built off that momentum.” Crew chief, Bob DeVour, and car owner, Ron Meer, obviously made the right call by putting Bellemeur in the seat.

Ron Meer noted, “Bob and I have known each other so long, we just react to different situations and take care of business. Our success this year has been the icing on the cake. It hasn’t come easily and this is not an inexpensive venture. We’re lucky to have a great crew and we always enjoy ourselves.”

DeVour made news this week by announcing his acquisition of L&T Performance Products, which manufactures clutches for Comp, Pro Stock, Pro Mod, and Top Alcohol cars. Bob mentioned, “With my background and all, this was a good fit for me. I’m proud to carry on such as respected name and look forward to working with all the racers who trust in the product.”

Team Meer’s recent victory in the Pacific Division 7 finale at Auto Club Raceway at Famoso put them in the driver’s seat for the Division championship. But, they look to close out the season in strong fashion beginning in Texas and continuing to Auto Club Raceway at Pomona (California).

Ron Meer Motorsports sends special thanks to Randy Anderson, Chase Knight at Crane Cams, Gary and David Sumek of Lenco, Brian Scollon at GRP, Mike Gruber from Valvoline and Bud from Pendarvis Manufacturing.
