scs high helix

anyone out there running or have ever run a 1471 scs billit high helix

I came close to buying one but after a lot of research I found out they no longer make them or the parts for them they are good and look awesome but you can not get parts and they are not the same parts as a normal roots set up Allan Johnson had the guy build these for top alk before he started tuning fuel cars and he told them he wanted a blower that could withstand a small nuclear explosion and they built it and then nhra or Ihra outlawed them so the mfg said fuck it I am done and now he is retired and his son runs the co. it is called scs gearboxes I am sure they still have the tooling but good luck craig moss

 

yes, I have and it worked great!! The Info Craig stated is true. I had SS# 3 billet case. I sent it to them and they went thru it. If you do get one Denis P in TX, can repair anyting on it. Do not have is info in front of me right now. If you need it let me know. What was your question?

 

Yea, Mike Sage @ SCS. Genious mechanical mind with no people skills. Plus the ugly divorce didn't help mentally or blower wise,,, she took the blower dyno!

What did Mike do that made it illegal?

Did you know he made setback blowers about 20 years ago? and it took till now for them to catch on.

I do not know that he did anything wrong they just outlawed them do not know why small fish big pond or big fish small pond all it takes is a blower mfg to throw some cash around and the rules can be changed especially if you know someone this is the world we live in
