What are guys seeing in EGT readings on blown alcohol small blocks. Idle and finish line temps? Especially the centre exhaust pair?

    Thanks.

Why so hot at idle? 700-800* is real warm for a hemi or BBF. We run down at 400-425 maybe up to 450 except for a couple of back cylinders which may be at 500*. Is this just characteristic of a SBC?

    Middle Cylinders

We always ran a little larger nozzle in the middle two cylinders for the obvious heat reasons.

I always ran my BV a little lean at idle wanted to build heat faster and did not want to milk the oil with the old kendel oil we could go 3 to 4 weekends and the oil looked great.once i staged and brought the motor up the temps dropped to 500 or so
