Greetings from the not so sunny uk :)

We run a blown alcohol 350sbc in our little anglia, I'm looking for some advise on cooling the heads! We have the normal problem of the heat buildup between the 2 centre cylinders on both banks of the motor due to the exh valves being next to each other, to be honest I really do not want to run water , but we might have no choice , we are thinking our options are....

    - run water just in the heads with a one way poppet valve into a catch tank (I'm not keen on this to be honest)

    - drill and tap the heads to run C02 into the trouble area of the head via a wide open throttle switch ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated !!!!

Ps.......at the moment we are running 15lb of boost but looking to increase it next season !

    Cheers

We run a PSI Blown small block chev running low 6 second ets, we use a small aluminium water tank with an inline pump, thats goes into the block and out throught the top of the blower manifold back to the water tank, works well and never have any problems with the heads, this is the same as Rick santos run in his dragster running 5.6 ets

You run alcohol or gas?....Alky runs way cooler. I run a steel head/steel filled-block 10-71 blown 6:80's 355 sbc and never had a heat issue. Leave the line at 170----clear the traps at 190
