Crew member Fred Fredrickson lost his battle with cancer yesterday morning. Fred was was with Ron Morrison's TAFC and the Seminole Shaker TAFC. He was at the Noble track with the Seminole Shaker testing Saturday doing what he loved. Words can not describe what he and Lanna meant to both teams. God speed Fred.

I would like to thank Ron Morrison, for being the first one back to the hospital Sunday night, to make sure Fred was not without family or team, for a second longer than necessary, until Lana and I could arrive. Ron stayed all the way until Fred deployed the chutes and cut off the fuel, and then rolled to a very quiet and peaceful stop. Ron helped me and my family see Fred to the finish line and helped un-belted him from his pain.
Fred's un-dying dedication to racing and commitment to excellence, helped him work past the pain that the cancer was causing him. During his final hours, with family and friends in the hospital, he had become a glider without propulsion power. Ron and others helped Lana and I, help Fred, make that final pass on to Gods drag strip. He softly rolled out, and as I said, deployed his chutes.

Thank You Ron Morrison for all your love and support.
Thank you all for all the kind words and the encouragement to keep this kind of love alive in all of us. Fred would have wanted it that way, even though he could never say it, he felt it and showed it in ways that words could never describe.

    Gary Fredrickson and from Lana.

Well said Gary. I'm truly sorry I could not be back from Rusk with you guys. The funeral was very moving. I am honored to have been chosen to be a pallbearer. Let's win the next one for Fred! :D

i was honored to be a part of laying fred to rest. i had told fred and lana we would win caddo mills for him saturday (6-19) to cheer him up. now that he's gone, i guess i'll have to keep my promise. as long as they don't count the teeth on my pulleys, it should be a sure deal. love you guys.
