Hey, What's the best way to remove rubber from a funnycar body with out hurting the paint? Gotta quit those half track burnouts. :D Thanks, Gary.

Wax & Grease remover (paint pre-cleaner) works well....I get it from Keystone Body Supply and wipe down the entire body between races...then wax on - wax off....

Under body - rear tree - etc...try coating with Lemon Pledge before the event and when ya get home use an air blow gun to blast off the rubber....outside the shop...

Plastic or rubber paint scraper or the same thing generally used to apply bondo. Doing that keeps the mess dry. I think Pep Boys sells them in the body shop equipment department.

BTW, don't stop doing the 1/2 track burnouts.

    geddex burnout guard

I never used it on the FC but back in my bracket racing days we used a spray called burnout guard on the back quarter panel to keep the burnout off the fender. don't know how it would work under a fc. I bought it from Jegs.

Pam cooking spray. Apply before race rubber wipes off with rag.

    Go with the Pam stuff.
And use wax and grease remover.

Silicone spray works great too. Just spray on and blow the rubber off or wipe it off and it doesn't smear.
