Has anyone ever had a 14 71 HH rotor with "valley strips" in it? I have a 14/71 with Kobelco HH rotors with valley strips. Was told to leave them out for better performance on alky. Was told they were for gas. Anyone know anything about this?

    strips

Perhaps I was misleading when I said to "Leave them out". I spoke with Rich at SSi. He was saying that valley strips are good for fuel guys but not so much for alky because it creates alot of heat. He said to make them flush with the rotor and use the other 3 strips. Has anyone ever tried this?

I was told to just leave them there, don't replace them. When they are worn out they basically just become part of the rotor, and don't enhance or hurt the performance of the blower.
