now I know this is gonna sound like a total rookie question but, how does the clutch hook to the reverser and then to the rear end on an a/fuel or top fuel car, if anybody has any links or pictures they could share that would be great, thanks. just an inquiring mind looking to increase his understanding :)

This is for a A/fuel car.....After your clutch is installed to the fly wheel you bolt on the clutch can (bell housing) you put a input shaft into the clutch can that has splines on both ends, one end engages the splines of the clutch discs, and the other splines ingauge the front of the reverser when you bolt the reverser to the clutch can,.then all you have is the drive shaft with a splined slip coupler to the rear end with a clamp to lock it down.
Top fuel has a clutch managment, and there is a unit between the reverser and clutch can called a cannon, the cannon is preset on timers to release at designated timming during the run that works off of air.

    Hope that helps.
