Friesen Motorsports gives it their best against record setting field

On the Monday after the AC Delco NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida the Nobel Biocare Top Alcohol Funny Car team can take solace that they worked hard enough to make eliminations on such a record setting weekend. Cool conditions and near perfect air and racetrack made qualifying a task for the 21 cars vying for 16 spots in the ladder. The Friesen Motorsports team ran a 5.756 seconds pass at 252.47 MPH to earn a spot in the field at number 14 of 16.

The team had a monumental task ahead of them, as first round of eliminations on Sunday the team was to face the “baddest hombre” in the Alcohol Funny Car field, Frank “Ace” Manzo. The Friesen Motorsports/Nobel Biocare racing team was ready to face off against Frank, but trouble struck the team forcing Roger to forfeit the race. The racecar would not go into reverse after the burnout and Roger had to allow “Ace” to solo into the next round of competition.

The team will solder on to Memphis, Tennessee where they will take part in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Memphis Motorsports Park in Nearby Millington, TN April 23rd to 25th.
