RIP Steven Smith of Smith & Fair Racing

Very saddened to hear of the passing of Steven Smith, partner with Forrest Fair's A/Fuel Dragster. Fair was unable to drive the car due to recent health issues and was letting team member Stuart Smith get his license in a test session at Thunder Road Raceway outside of Shreveport, La. I don't know the specifics but something happened while the car was backing up from a burnout with Steven behind the car. Steven was air lifted from the track but succumbed to his injuries.

Such a tragic loss. The Smith and Fair team are just salt of the earth people and as good as they come. You know they are Christians by their actions, not just the fact they proudly display it on their car. Steven will be missed. RIP and Godspeed. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
