We have ordered the big red button kill switch with the replaceable contacts. With a MSD 44 mag, what kind of wire are you using from the switch to the coil and from the switch to the chassis?

    Thanks, C.

If you are using a retard box just use a good quality single throw single pole toggle switch to turn the retard box on and off which will instantly kill the motor. This is what the top fuel guys do.

just a second perspective. the contacts in the mallory switch may be to close for the 44. SAE or there is a pnematic one that has enough gap. Someone will know what brand.

    cnc lathe switch

a cnc lathe kill switch available at graingers works good. nice thing about the 'big red' kill switch is it's 'big' and it takes a decent positive push to kill. after smoking the tires in the second round of dallas, when i let off of it, it got into a severe 'funny car wobble' the steering wheel was moving around so much it took me three swings at the wheel to hit the switch.
