We just purchased a used spitzer dragster that has the large aero tubing struts and full carbon top alcohol style wing. When the car was delivered...the wing was not mounted on the chassis but everything looked ok and not bent or out of place at all. After getting everything ready to head to the track...we put the wing on in the shop and noticed it sits cocked off pointing to the left. After measuring some things the left front strut is longer than the right and the wing element (front edge) is a 1/2 back on the left when measuring from midplate to wing edge. So at the end of the wing...id bet its 2 inches back on the left side. If i unhook the left strut...it releases load and pulls forward about a bolt hole forward from the hole in the mounting tab.

Shouldnt the wing be square facing forward or is this some speed secret i never heard of?

Went to switch the front struts side to side and noticed ( dont know why we didnt see it before) one strut is bent putting preload on the rear strut making it twist. Going to try to bend it back and hopefully thats all our problem is.

Thanks for the replys and suggestions.
