Reading?

    Has anyone heard if Reading is still under water?
    The rumor is they might cancel the race next weekend. Anyone know if this is fact or fiction or just a maybe?

    I had heard that Spectator parking was still under water and they might be calling off this weekends race. Just trying to find out if it has any truth to it or not.

    Pat,
    Tech closed before the event was rained out.

    When I called home yesterday, I ask Kim if she could get any news on cancelling Reading. We were told at Route 66 that NHRA was considering cancelling the event for 2004, due to alittle of the pits and a substantial part of the spectator parking still being wet. My crew all moved vacation around, and we were counting on this race.
    On a rescheduled race, they normally don't need as much pit or spectator parking anyway. Do they?

    Wish they'd let us know.

    Isn't tech usually open until the final qualifying shot?

    Heard the race is a go for this weekend.

    We were told that Tech is closed and there are no more entries allowed. If you got thru Tech, you are OKAY to Qualify. Brownman and the FNG's ( we went thru Tech but did not make a pass do to a cracked fuel fitting) :confused:

    If I remember correctly, the original schedule showed tech closing at 1PM on Friday. The event was postponed on Saturday morning. I don't think tech is usually open past Friday, early afternoon.
    At Rt. 66 it closed at noon on Friday.

    If tech is closed, Reichert probably has the championship locked up.

    I drove by the track this morning. The NHRA trailers are there, Nitro Mall is set up, Antrone and Angelle's trailer is already in the pits, and Connelly's trailer was parked at the gate. Looks to me like it is a go...
