    kenny hirata celebrated his 80th birthday this past tues. is there any one older out there actively, and daily, doing this insane thing we do called drag racing? He is a crazy wild man who still kicks my ass. LOL. Just and FYI to everyone.

    Way to go, Kenny. Staying off the couch and out of the retirement villas keeps you young.

    My dad is going to be 80 later this year.

    A couple months ago after building a cinder block retaining wall at my sister's house he came over and fixed an electrical problem on my Freightliner. Then he fixed an intermittant problem with the propane side of the fridge in my race car trailer. Right now they are hanging out in Quartzsite.

    Back when I was just a babe he and mom had a black 1949 Buick Roadmaster convertable and he absolutely loved that car. Mom and dad sold it to raise some kids. I'd love to find another one and give it to him for his 80th birthday.
