I was working with Troy Sitko in Seattle. He told me it looked like there was a lot of raw fuel on the track past 1000'. Anyone else noticed this??

The raw fuel would explain why ALL the super/comp diggers were getting
loose at the 1,000 ft friday night after the TF session, that caused one digger to crash and roll extremly hard
to the point the driver was air lifted to Harbor view Med.
The driver suffered 3 broken ribs and a punctured lung, and will recover fully.
this info of the accident was given to me by several of the rv`ers (campers at the finishline that all said the same thing,..all the S/C cars were really loose and squirlly at the 1,000foot after the TF cars ran,..then the wreck happend. so much for safty checking the track after the Pros ran.

funny, on another thread somebody thought that a racer has the option to just say no if you think the track is unsafe. so much for an expectation of safety. hope the digger guy is doing well.

Good thing NHRA is dedicated to safety or we might get hurt.

I was helping a freind of mine in Vegas and they had the sprint cars running on the dirt track during the D - 7 race and the wind was blowing dirt on to the top half of the strip and Rod Fuller and another car got out of shape at the top end and raced back to the starting line and they had run another coulpe pairs with everyone getting losse the next pair saw Rod talking to the starter and then they got out of their cars and refused to run we had a couple hundred people on the starting line and they finaly shut it down because we forced them too or someone would have gotten hurt for sure.

I believe it's our decision to make smart choices, especially at high rates of speed. The track looked almost wet and I went sideways almost instantly. Now I was out of the groove as well, which certainly didn't help, so I lifted. I didn't make the field in Seattle and that was my last qualifying lap. I know a lot of drivers who would've drove the car until it was undrivable just to get into the field, but I felt like being able to race again another weekend.

By the way, Will, thanks for getting me my first "5!"

Between our two cars in Seattle I can't remember the exact amount- but after the second "parts problem" in 2 runs with the funny car ending our weekend, and the stressful times trying to get air in/out of the dragster's wheels all weekend there were a few cases of Coors and Kokanee gone at least between everyone...LOL

I don't have any exact numbers, but we ran out a couple of times. We brought him some stuff from Canada too. If you want to find your way to Will's heart, buy him some Kokanee!
