Randy Meyer Racing update

HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION PAYING OFF FOR THE RANDY MEYER RACING TEAM

Topeka, KS, August 26, 2006 - A/Fuel Dragster Driver Randy Meyer of Spring Hill, KS is the reigning Top Alcohol Dragster Champion in the NHRA's West Central Division. He set the pace in the last round of qualifying on Saturday Morning with a 5.443 seconds at 263.67 mph. Due to rain on Friday evening, only two rounds of qualifying were run.

In the opening round of eliminations on Saturday, Randy ran a 5.499 seconds at 260.86 mph defeating Brandon Pierce who ran a 5.61 seconds at 245.27 mph. Round two netted a win over Ashley force with Randy running a 5.482 seconds at 259.41 mph over Ashley's 5.648 seconds at 255.92 mph.

The final round Randy left a bit too early. A -.007 red light against Lee Callaway.
"Even though I red lit in the finals this has been a great weekend. It is such a good feeling for me and the team for the car to turn the corner after struggling most of the summer. The car is back and running strong and consistant. Randy is currently number 9 in the NHRA's World Championship points. Randy is also the current Division 5 points leader.
