Meyer hits winning combination in Memphis

March 26, 2006 (Memphis, TN) – 2005 NHRA Division 5 Top Alcohol Dragster Champ, Randy Meyer, found success in Memphis for the Lucas Oil Division 4 race. Despite initial disappointment in early 2006, Meyer is finding his way in overcoming the new rule change for A-Fuel Dragsters.
“We found some of our problems. We are definitely going in the right direction. We did struggle in qualifying. We didn’t qualify very well. We still had our problem when we qualified and only ran a .48. It’s not where I like to be. But, we found some things and we got them fixed. Hopefully we can look for bigger and better things from now on,” explained Meyer.

The road to the winners circle was a challenge. Meyer was able to take-out successful Top Alcohol Dragster driver Marty Thacker in rd.1. In a close race during rd.2, Meyer won against Steve Torrance. Meyer qualified No. 4 with 5.48 at 266.79 MPH.

Randy Meyer Racing will next appear at the NHRA O’Reilly Spring Nationals in Baytown, Texas March 31 – April 2, 2006. Randy Meyer and the entire Randy Meyer Racing team would like to acknowledge Miller Industries Towing Equipment, Meyer Truck Center, Tow Rax, ARP, Autolite, Fram, Goodyear, Aeroquip, Bar’s Leaks Additive, Taylor Cable, Manley, BAE, Hogans, Moroso, Moritz Machine, and 888-CARWRECK for all their continued support.
