Check out Central Ohio Insurance Services. I don't know how to do the whole link to the site thing, but google em. They cover all 50 states, do on and off track insurance and some of the agents are actually drag racers. Haven't tried em myself yet but going to start looking for race car insurance for this up coming season. Heard about em on yellow bullet a couple years ago, one of the long time members there is an agent.

Does anyone have an idea of what it typically costs to insure a race car say for $100,000

    I'm assuming that's 700-1000 per month?

And $700-$1000 per year covers your car while racing? That sounds awful cheap? Or is that just off the track?

My wife has a product called an Individual Accident Plan, its for $100k in coverage for $15.12 per month, NO racing disclaimer, it has to be issued by age 55, good up through age 65, any premiums not used by age 65 are returned to you. The only catch is it would have to be issued in the state of Indiana. We are an hour north of Indy if anyone has any questions, let me know and I can have her talk to you. I know it doesnt cover the car, however it at least covers you. Correction, she just told me you dont have to LIVE in Indiana to be sold the policy, you only have to be here when you SIGN the policy. She works for Western and Southern Insurance, Life Insurance and Retirement planning.

Although they mainly specialize in nostalgia racers, Haggerty does offer agreed value off track insurage for some modern racecars. I insure my 63 Caddy through them at very reasonable rates.

Coverage is for everywhere/anywhere but on the track, so in the pits, your shop or going down the road in your trailer.

    $2,500 deductible with $160,000 coverage $1,200/year premium

    $150,000 min coverage

There are higher deductibles for instance $10,000 deduct, $160k coverage, $1,040

Just want to give an update. Just got my policy. Went thru my business insurance guy that I trust. $80,000 agreed value with coverage anytime except when under power for $721 per year. Under writer is American Modern. Deductible is $ 0.00. If you need agents contact email me at bailey03@netsync.net. Little cost for piece of mind!
