R.I.P Vinny Arcadi

Vinny Arcadi, who finished fourth in the 2006 Torco Racing Fuels Pro Nitro Funny Car championship points standings, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3 following a brief battle with cancer. The Lancaster, New York resident entered a hospice facility late last week and passed away early Wednesday morning.

Arcadi was born April 29, 1956. He was 50 years old.

“Vinny was an excellent racer and an even better person,” IHRA president Aaron Polburn said. “He was the quintessential competitor and a great sportsman. This is a sad day for everyone in the IHRA family.”

One Of The Best Competitors That I Have Ever Meet. This Guy Will Teach Everyone In Heaven The True Meaning Of Racing, Rest In Peace Vinny. I Had The Pleasure To Meet Vinny And I Must Say That He Was A Great Person And Had A Great Attitude. He Will Be Missed.
