Quick Mag Question

what diameter is the drive for a Sprintmag? the bit above the manifold where you clamp it?

Just want to make sure the new clamp we're going to buy will fit

 

I can tell you the supermag drive for chevy is 2.50, not sure if sprint mag is the same

the sprint mag we use on our jet boat is the same as the chevy..it is in a 427 chevy now our big mag 5 stuff is a whole different breed..hope this helps. also if you are talking about the band clamp let me know i will measure it for you

 

basically we are looking to run this

which has an ID of 3 1/2 inches, on our mag I was assuming it would clamp round the drive just above the manifold but if thats 2 1/2 inches would it clamp round the mag body or are we better off with a different clamp

Measured Up Some Mags The Sprint Mag Body That We Have Measured 3.580 A Mallory Super Mag 3 Measured 4.050 Hope That Helps
