question on bbc

    hi what spec of pistons will I need for this combo, its a 10.200 rodeck alum 481 block, 4.5 stroke crank, 6.8 lenght rods. have dart alum 320 cc heads, need compression for blower and alky, 14-71 hh. PS anybody have what I need out there kicking around thx

    You didn't mention your bore size?
    We have some 4.5" forged pistons that with those heads and 6.650 long rods (I have to double check this length) will get you about 11.5:1 compression.
    They have a lot of runs on them and smaller .990" wrist pins.

    6.800 long rods sounds too long (not sure you can get a piston that short for use with a blower).

    For what you have listed, 10.5-12.0:1 compression seems to be where most are at.

    sorry guys, have a bore size og 4.530, but pretty sure rod lenght is 6.8 or 6.7 oliver billets.
