I was just reading about this car and how it was really quick for its combination in the eatly 80's. It tickled my interest to find out more and was just wondering if anyone could give me some insight into what this combination was and the setup and whatnot. Anyone around back then?

Can't tell you too much, but I did see remnants of one of his motors at Music City Rod Shop in Nashville in the early '80's. Bill and Bob Amos,RIP (owner of MCRS ) were old Pro Comp buddies and Bill brought up one of his blown 9blown-up) small -blocks to salvage what he could. Was the first time I had ever seen an aluminum small-block split right down the middle, the ports were totally hogged out, the divider between the ports was completely eliminated about an inch into the port so that the entry was just one huge opening, don't remember much else. Car was quick because it was so light, a true wedge had a 2.8lb per cube weight break where the Hemi's had to weigh 4.4lbs, (I think)
