PSI Screw Belt Tension

    What are people using these days to adjust the tension of their screw drive belt when cold?

    Is there a rough rule of thumb?

    In my case a Starr 1792 8mm belt, billet Aluminum block and heads.

    I have not seen a publicized procedure. Just wondered what other people are doing...........

    When cold a half inch deflection using just thump. Readjust when warmed up to tight maybe 1/4” deflection
