PSI Hat

    Anyone have any experience with PSI hats that have plates inside of them? I saw a carbon one yesterday that was divided in half inside, supposingly something like Manzo runs. What are your thoughts on this?

    Thanks I will call but I also would like the opinion of those who have raced with these or seen them on a dyno. Surely there is someone out here who knows. BTW do you have his contact info?

    The most common and succesful hat out there appears to be PSI's "deepthroat", I think the designator is M3. A lot of guys especialy ProMods are switching to Darren Mayers, DMPE Inc, hats because he has done so much research in improving airflow. Check them out at http://www.dmpeinc.com
    If you are a Funny Car and are sitting behind that hat kind of restricts you as to what you can use. In that case the PSI deepthroat or the DMPE Quadstar should be looked at.

    There are hats out there that are being modified inside with plates, those are the ones I was asking about Mike. Have you seen one of them yet?

    RBS sells a plate that goes into the PSI injector .

    Hat divider

    I have heard of the center divider use on roots blowers to even air flow to each rotor. I couldn't tell you if it helps on a screw or not.

    Call Darren at DMPE and talk to him about the plates. I believe he use one on his Quadstar. Darren has done a lot of dyno testing with injector hats.
