PSI "D" rotor restripping

Anyone ever done this? I got some correct Nylatron strip and its too wide to fit in rotor grove. was advised to trim? That is going to be messy.
Original stuff that came out looks like one side is machined to fit.

Any help would be appreciated.
We don't have recert or SFI rules where we run this.

PSI has a fixture to machine one side of the nylatron to fit I'n their grooves,
