Pro Top Outlaw Series Shines in London
Next Up Dorchester, SC – May 27th

Last weekend in London, Kentucky at the Bluegrass Nationals presented by London Flyer Buggies Unlimited, the Pro Top Outlaws put on an unbelievable show. Over 20 cars turned out for the event and after 2 rounds of qualifying the bump for the 16-car field was set at 4.19 seconds.

The bump for the Pro Top Outlaw class (the quickest 8 qualified cars) was just 4.08 seconds for the 1/8th mile event. Brandon Booher picked up the number one spot with a pass of 3.90 at 183 MPH. In the first round, 6 of the 8 cars down the eighth mile ran sub 4-second passes and Booher and Phil Esz both thundered down the track with 3.89 ETs. The exciting action continued throughout the race when Phil Esz (3.88) eventually picked up the first win of the season by taking out Anthony Trauth (3.92) in the final round. With the win, Esz, last years PTO Champion, has taken the early lead in 2007 points chase.

In the Pro Top Bandit final round, Bart Morris used a 4.11 elapsed time to take the win light over Dean Karnes who eclipsed the eighth mile in 4.22 seconds.

For the first time in PTO history, Inside Drag Racing was on the grounds filming the event with NHRA announcer Bob Frey. The event will be aired later this summer.

    Top MPH: Phil Esz 185.25

Next up for the series is the Palemetto Nationals in Dorchester, SC. Qualifying for the 8-car field will be held at 4 PM and 5:30 PM. Eliminations will begin at 7 PM and continue throughout the evening until a champion is crowned.

The series would like to thank the newest sponsor of the Pro Top Outlaw Series, Snyder Motorsports, for their support.

The series has a contingency program in place as well as payouts for each event. This could not be possible without the support from the following sponsors, Fowler Engines, Flatout Gaskets, Stroud Safety, Renegade, Mickey Thompson Tires, R&R Racing Products, Performance Torque Converters, Aaron Sipple Engineering, Handi Hauler, No Limit Race Cars, Vickery Speed Shop , Victory Performance, Ohio Crankshaft, W & M Enterprises Inc, and RWR Motorsports.
