Snyder Earns Third Win of the Season
Second in a Row for the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels TAFC

This weekend at Gateway International Raceway, Mick Snyder earned his third win of the season and gained valuable points towards the Division 3 championship. The back-to-back Top Alcohol Funny Car divisional champion shared the winner’s circle with another Lencodrive Racing Transmissions competitor, Rick Corn and Corn Family Racing who won in the Top Sportsman class.

“It was great to get another win here. I really need to credit the whole Snyder Motorsports Race Team for so much of the success we have had this year. They are an all-volunteer group so everyone can’t be at every event. Each time we have had to alternate jobs they have come through. No matter who is working on the car, every time I stage, I am confident we have a chance,” said Snyder.

Snyder qualified #2 for the event with a 5.72 second pass at 252 mph down the quarter mile track. In first round, he left first and never looked back as he outran his opponent with a 5.84 second pass at 250 mph. Snyder took the win light in the semi-finals in similar fashion crossing the finish line with a 5.83 at 250 mph. With lane choice in the finals, Snyder ran 5.85 and earned the win with a hole shot victory over his opponent.

“This weekend was so important to us in the points standings. After having a couple of solid outings on the divisional level, we are really looking forward to going up to Brainerd next weekend. The fans there are awesome; it is the most fun we have at the races all year. Hopefully we will be able to have some more success with this Knoll Gas – Torco Race Fuels car on the track as well.”

The next event for the Team will be in Brainerd, Minnesota at the Lucas Oil Nationals next weekend August 10th – 13th.
