Snyder Looking for 1st National Event Win of 2006​

Mick Snyder, driver of the Snyder Motorsports Top Alcohol Funny Car sponsored by TORCO Racing Fuels, is heading to Topeka to participate in the O’Reilly Summer Nationals. Snyder, a top 5 finisher in last years POWERade points standings, currently sits solidly in the Top 10 and is looking to add to his points total with a solid performance this weekend.

“We have been out racing in some divisional and invitational events, but haven’t been out at a National event in almost two months,” stated Snyder. “I know the team and I are really excited to get back out there and see what kind of numbers this car can run under national event track conditions.”

“We have a lot of great people who contribute to this operation throughout the year. We could not be out here competing at this level without their help. TORCO Racing Fuels has been behind us the past couple years and we can’t thank them enough for their support.”

The event will begin on Friday evening when the Top Alcohol classes make two qualifying runs; the first at 3 PM followed by one at 6 PM. They will have another shot at 11 AM on Saturday and first round of eliminations will begin at 4 PM. Eliminations will continue Sunday following the first Pro session. • In his only other appearance at the Summer Nationals last year Snyder earned a quarter-final finish.
• Snyder has had back-to-back Top 10 finishes in the National points standings and Division 3 championships. The 24 year-old Purdue University graduate is currently sitting 6th place Nationally and 1st place in the Division 3 points standings.
