Snyder Looking to Extend Points Lead in Bowling Green

Second-generation driver, Mick Snyder, and the Snyder Motorsports Race Team will be in Bowling Green, Kentucky at Beech Bend Raceway Park for the Lucas Oil Divisional Series event this weekend. The Team is coming off back-to-back divisional wins in Joliet and St. Louis and hoping to get back in the winner’s circle this weekend.

“We have heard some good things about the new track and we are very excited to see what it will hold when we get there. This is a big event for us. The Team is focused and everyone is ready to do their part to see if we can get this Knoll Gas – Torco Race Fuels sponsored car in the winner’s circle again this weekend. We are also looking forward to gathering some more data on our new combination before we head to the U.S. Nationals next week,” said the defending event champion.

Snyder was the number one qualifier at the event last year. The back-to-back defending Division 3 champions are hoping to extend their points lead in the always competitive divisional championship chase.

“After racing this weekend, we will have to go home and go through the car before we head to Indy for the marathon race next weekend. It is going to be challenging for us and we know we have to perform well if we want to move up in the standings before the end of the year.”

The racing action will begin on Friday at 5 PM with the first qualifying shot. Saturday qualifying will continue at 1 PM and 4:30 PM. On Sunday, final eliminations will begin at 1 PM. To keep up on the team’s progress throughout the weekend please log onto www.dragracecentral.com.
