Snyder Looking for Second Win of the Season

The Snyder Motorsports Race Team will be in Indianapolis this weekend to participate in the postponed Division 3 season opener. The Team is fresh off a win they earned in Valdosta, Georgia at the divisional event two weeks ago.

After taking a week off to celebrate the Easter holiday, the defending Division 3 champions are looking forward to getting back out on the track. “The car has been running really well the last two events. Hopefully, we will be able to put on a good show in front of the hometown crowd this weekend,” Snyder commented. “We always enjoy racing in state because our friends and family come out to the track to check out the car. It gets a little hectic sometimes with so many people in the pits, but it is unbelievable to have so many people come out to support the team.”

Snyder, who has qualified #1 and been to two straight final rounds, will also be beginning his defense of the Spitzer Low Qualifier Championship. The series, sponsored by Mike and Karen Spitzer of Spitzer Enterprises, awards points based on the qualifying order in the Division 3 Top Alcohol classes.

“Mike and Karen are really doing a lot to support the Top Alcohol classes in Division 3. Last year, we were honored to be the recipients of the inaugural championship trophy. Hopefully, our TORCO Racing Fuels Firebird will be able to defend that title this year.”

The event will begin on Friday evening with qualifying at 4 PM. On Saturday, the Team will have two more qualifying shots at 1 PM and 4:30 PM. Eliminations will begin on Sunday at noon and continue throughout the day.

The Team would like to thank our major sponsor TORCO Racing Fuels and our associate sponsors Coan Converters, Design 500, Flatout Gaskets, Lencodrive Racing Transmissions, Long Printing, R & R Racing Products, Snyder Auto and Spitzer Race Cars for their continued support this year.
