Just a quick comparison if anyone is interested. I ran back to back weekends with similar air and track conditions. Blown alky small block chevy with powerglide ran 6.86 @ 195 mph..Same tune up with dual disc 10" Ram clutch and 3 speed lenco it went 6.77 @ 201 mph
Glad to make the switch much more fun driving a clutch!

WOW. Awesome. Where did it make up the numbers? 60'? or all the way down?

What was your back half MPH increase with the glide vs the lenco?

What is the weight difference between the two?

    glide lenco

    1.036 1.069 60ft
    2.849 2.865 330ft
    4.377 4.363 1/8
    160.6mph 164.7mph
    5.713 5.663 1000ft
    6.862 6.775 1/4
    194.3mph 201.1mph

1.76gear glide versus 2.07 3 speed lenco. I haven't weighed the car yet but I'm sure the lenco/steel can was heavier, probably 40lbs..

For sure. A big advantage for powerglides is their lack of weight. What was the stall speed on the convertor?

Thanks for the info. How much are you taking off the clutch each hit?
