powder coating over the dow coating

    Does anyone know if you can powder coat over the Dow 7 coating or do you have to bl:eek:ast it off first?

    yes

    yes, you can pc over it, just make sure you bead blast it real good and it's real clean. sometimes helps to heat up the part and try to get the oil that is down in the pores to come out. The coating isn't the problem, the oil is.

    I've done several sets of mag valve covers that were dowed and it sticks good.
