I'm tired of polishing my aluminum injector hat so I was thinking of powdercoating or anodizing it. What do you guys recommend? My powder guy is really good and takes his time masking out everything but I'm not sure what route to go.

I'd def. anodize, powdercoating could affect the clearances around the butterflies. Industrial Anodizing in Indy does a phenomenal job and are very reasonably priced. I had my Lencodrive can done a few weeks ago and it was $75.00. If I would have had all of my other stuff ready it would have went with it for no addtl. charge.

casting will come up a lot more "flat black" then a good machined part

I had the can done which is from Bonifiante, it turned out awesome though. I've never done anything that's "cast" but as noted above....it's wouldn't look as sharp as billet/machined pieces. Powdercoating would look better on cast but it changes tolerances, chips easier, and is usually more expensive. If it's a polished alum. hat, the anodizing will look great.

Brandon, The hats are Cast. Unless the industry has improved this service it will result in a flat blotchy finish.
