Please excuse this mess, but it was set off by a chain of mistakes by our hosting company and complicated by the holiday week.

Long story short they anticipated a hardware failure on our server, so they evacuated the websites to another server on May 6, then another server shortly thereafter (two server changes). The DNS records (the records that tell the web where to go when you type a website name in) were only updated once, so the website ran on the first server change up until July 1. All email addresses ran through my server started having problems on June 27, so when I called on July 1 to get the problem resolved, the tech guy noticed that the DNS records were not pointed towards the 'right' server. When he 'fixed' the problem, he diverted the DNS to the server that had not been used (updated posts/data, etc) since May 6, so basically it lost all of that data.

When I finally raised enough hell and found the right place to do it, I got someone on it, and it was as simple as realizing the 'lost' data was right where it was...the second server that was used.

Problem is, it took them a week to find that, so it looks at the moment any posts, registrations, private messages, etc., sent last week are going to be lost. The problem is trying to merge both sql databases...it's very difficult to patch in just the lost data without redundancy. We're still looking into ways to do this, but it looks at the moment we basically are trading a week worth of data for two months of lost data.

If you have posted a classifieds message or any other message, feel free to repost it.

I really apologize for the inconvienence, but it's totally out of my hands.

    Regards,
    Will Hanna
