Possible TAD/TAFC at '09 Sportsnationals

    Just talked to Pat Joffrion, owner of No Problem Raceway Park, and he might bring TAD/TAFC into the show for next year's Sportsnationals.

    He said it will mainly hinge on whether he gets the additional pit parking done for next year. Being a racer, he's not going to just stick racers out in the mud. Said he wants to get the drainage right and prep the area properly.

    Kudos to Pat and the gang at No Problem Raceway if this happens!

    for those who have not ever been there , thats by far the best , little race track in the country , & Pat & his family, staff ,go way out of there way , to help out all the racers ,I wish we had that track in div 3 , but its well worth the drive , Did i forget to say they have a full bar in the tower!!!

    now why do you think they would give my "why-mer-wine-errrr" a cat scan?
    wouldn't that be a dog scan?

    Will, aren't these sanctioned by NHRA? Do they have to approve class additions prior to one track owner saying it's okay?

    I'm all for it, without question, but if they add us at one, do they have to agree to add us at all of them prior to an announcement of such?

    OR could this be a pilot test and if it proved successful, then good to go???

    Just curious of the politics.

    Nancy, I'm at the Cajun Sportsnationals right now. I don't think NHRA would have a problem, it's just a matter of the track putting up the purse. Right now, it's just 'talk,' but considering Pat holds the purse strings, that's probably the biggest hurdle to cross.

    I will believe that when I see it! It would be a good thing for No Problem and I am certain they would get a fantastic show. They had a good turnout for the div. 4 race there. Stands were full, standing room only. If it happens at No Problem it will more than likely happen at the other Sportsnational races.
    I was promoting the inclusion of TAFC & TAD from the get go but it just fell on delf ears.
