Plug Suggestion

    Switching from gas to Alcohol, What plug is suggested: I run an altered w/Madcap 439 850hp, hilborn stacks with an 80-a, ingition is a supermag III

    You never said what heads you are using. It would be easier to tell us what plugs you are using for gas now so we can get the size correct.

    Plug question

    Thanks for the response Mike, Using Steel HP Chev heads square port, Manley valves, no porting or polishing, nothing fancy :D , was using the champion V63 plugs with gas....

    A Champion V63C is the same as a NGK R5673-8 which is a14mm, Taper Seat, 3/8 reach with a 13/16" hex. If you want to stay with a Champion then use a V57C or a NGK R5673-9. Most every one in that application would use a -9 heat range but if you want one step colder then go to a V55C or a NGK R5673-10. I would gap them at .019"

    Again thanks for the tech help Mike, I think I'll do as suggested and start with the colder plug, the NGK R5673-10 and see how she responds... Tony
