i always put a new set in when tring to tune one by the plugs and i will go back and use the one run plugs when i have it the way i want but the answer to your question you could as long as you are leaning one down a little at a time

    heat

heat is cumulative, that is if you do not change anything and make the same run again, then the plug is probably going to show more heat.

As long as the coating has not burned off the base of the threaded area you will be OK. If there is any oxidation of the coating other than the electrode then the recommendation is no. Clean the plugs off with spray brake cleaner or spray starter fluid first.

Guys reread his suggestion, and give it some thought. Sure reusing might work for some, but its misleading in the big picture if your looking for actual data.

It was only suggested to reuse the plugs if none of the cadium was burned off on a half track pass and the plug plating still looked new. At this point in the tuneup one is so rich that i would suggest that the data gained or lost is not critical.
