ParkerTech & Bobby Martin Win Their Season Debut

ParkerTech Racing Services and Bobby Martin Went to the Races
And won their season opener


Milford, Michigan – Frank Parker and his ParkerTech Racing Services team lived up to their 2008 Division 3 Champion title, April 26, 2009. The team trekked to O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis to open their 2009 season. As always, putting the Top Alcohol Dodge Charger Funny Car in the winners circle was top priority. Frank and Dan Parker and their driver, Bobby Martin, had their priorities in the right order.

Martin drove the Lane Automotive Dodge right to the winners circle, finishing ahead of Mick Snyder. Snyder was charging hard, trying to overcome Martin’s starting advantage, when some engine parts divorced their mates. The parting was not amicable and Snyder slowed dramatically.

“Bobby ran consistent laps all weekend,” said Parker. “The whole crew watches every run. Dad and I use their feedback, Bobby’s feedback and the recorded data, to determine what to do for the next round.” Martin complimented the ParkerTech crew, “The main reason I can run consistently is the consistency of the car. Frank and Dan tell me what to expect on each pass and that’s what I get. When the track started going away, in the final rounds, they made a clutch adjustment. That allowed me to leave without overpowering the tires.”

After this great start, the ParkerTech team is really looking forward to their next race, the May 15-17 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at Summit Motorsports Park, Norwalk, Ohio. Their number one priority will be putting the Lane Automotive Dodge Charger in the winners circle.
