Parachute Air Bleed Valve???

    What is the Safest Air Bleed Valve to run on the parachute system to bleed and use for the repack? THANKS! Jim 931-580-8804 or csmjimbkyle@bellsouth.net

    Safest? dont run one and use the shift pods to dump the air
    Simplifies the plumbing also

    Trying for an easier SAFER way to Bleed

    Just trying for an easier SAFER way to bleed the air off to repack the chutes besides breaking the bottle seal each time! THANKS! Jim

    Hey Jim.....I think what you are looking for is a simple toggle switch....our launcher system came with an air operated toggle switch and we arm the chutes before we start the car on the line....mounted on our Fiat body right above the chute bags....Pretty sure you could find the air switch at Grainger, McMaster Carr, DJ Safety, Taylor, Stroud, etc....one word of caution....make sure the air is purged and the bottle is off when working on the car in the pits....providing the chutes are not in the packs, if the switch was activated and the cylinders were retracted and had air pressure the rams (discs) could really hurt someone....

    Bickle has some nice dial bleed valves that t off bottle.
