Can anyone offer me any info on what this device is that's fitted to this old Plueger pump please. I'm assuming that it's a boost sensing adjustable pressure control module ...... it looks professionally made. Thanks ITA.

That pump is now made by RCD Engineering. You might call them at 530.292.3133.

    Thanks Mike,
Yes I'm aware that they are the current manufacturers, though they were machined for Steve by RCD from the get go.
Putting it on here first for any input before going the RCD route.
I'd not be surprised if Steve didn't make it anyways, he was a very clever and innovative guy. RIP Steve.

What I don’t understand is why you would want to change oil pressure based on boost pressure.

Instead of ruining the steel line that connect the two ports there using RCD adapter that takes up less room two an fittings for oil pressure for other things ,like the rear of the motor and maybe a remote oil pressure gauge

Billet alum. P&P/RCD wet/dry sump Hemi oil pump oil filter bypass manifold. This manifold is designed to remove the oil filter off the engine allowing a racer to run an inline oil filter on their race engine.

Bypass manifold is machined to stay close to the oil pump only sticking out 1.50" from the pump including the mounting bolt heads. The manifold includes -12 and -10 twelve point banjo bolts that mount the manifold to the oil pump and allow the oil to flow thru with no issues.

Includes O-rings for manifold assm. Banjo bolts use a 1 1/16th socket or wrench to install.

    Awesome info Hydrotherapy, thank you.
That makes complete sense too, it looks like a complicated device to loop oil though ..... space must have been at a premium.
Mike, I was grasping at straws for its intended use but I was obviously way off.
    Thanks to all on ITA.

The bypass that you are talking about was made by Les Davenport. They work great , and save a lot of room.

They are available at RBS. Just bought a gasket (O-Ring) set for ours.

Thanks everyone for all of your input, I'm much more educated about it now and couldn't have done without the great ITA support.
    Very much appreciated. GB.
