old style aluminized fuel mask, gloves, boots

Does anybody know if these items would be legal for use in an open bodied altered( blown gas)
Rather than wearing a full face helmet.
My son found some on the net that appear to be in good condition but I want to make sure he can use this stuff if he buy's it.
He would wear an up to date fire suit.

I really don't think they would have the correct SFI numbers. . Why would you want to wear a mask instead of a current Safe Helmet etc? I don't think they look that cool. vs. safety. Just me thought. Don

 

They aren't legal. If you look at strouds web sight, they have new one's but it says right on there that they are not legal for alcohol use.
