oil temp

what temp are you warming your oil to before a pass, and what is the temp after a run. do you cool your oil between rounds in the pits if so what do you use.

 

We ALWAYS have the Oil Heater on. Hot Oil works far better at doing its job. Having the heater on all the time also helps to burn some of the methanol off , I swear by it. Do Not try and cool it down in between runs , keep it hot. We usually have the oil as hot as 130 before a days racing. We have used LUCAS 70wt for 7 years with genuine great results

 

I aim for 140 oil temp in the warm up. It stays there all day. Never worry about cooling it down,

 

I watched many TAD TAFC teams drain and heat it to remove Meth. then add some of the additives back in. and reuse.

Of course here in AZ summer first fire up its 100 right in Trailer
