I have always used high tension oil rings and have never had any problems with them , I have to assemble my engine for this weekend and I am short one set of oil rings . I only have a set of std. tension oil rings for one cylinder , question is can I use them or is this a bad idea ? . This is a roots blown alcohol hemi .

Seems Arias pushes high tension oil rings so we have used them the last several sets. Before that we didn't and I haven't notice any difference besides during the assembly process.
    FYI, I'm talking 1600 HP Chevy's

    Oil rings

x3 on standard tension. Just bought a set of Ackerly's and Ray set me up with just a low cost regular tension oil control ring. As far as mixing high tension and regular, I don't see the problem. IMO
